Festive Nail Trends
Time to party with The Manicure Company!
Beauty writer Charisse Kenion spoke to Eoin Cotter, Creative Director at The Manicure Company, to find out what’s in store this Christmas.
*What kind of trends are we going to see for party season?
This party season it’s going to be all about greens and glitter. Green has been a huge colour this year in general (perhaps because more of us than ever were stocking up on indoor plants due to being on lockdown for so long) and the party period will see the trend continue. However, rather than bright and bold greens, it’s more about those beautiful deep and jewel-toned greens (and blues!) this season, all accented with accented with plenty of gold glitter and sparkle. It’s not party season without glitter! (Image: @beautybyemma__x)
*What colours and finishes will be in demand?
Green, gold, burgundy and of course red! When it comes to this time of year people tend to gravitate to the familiar classic shades, but we’ll be seeing a modern edge when it comes to the finish. Lots of metallics and glitters and of course, nail art. Swirls have been a constant trend throughout this year, so you can expect lots of candy cane swirls to be adorning nails come Christmas. *What would you recommend for someone who likes to keep things simple when it comes to their nails but wants to look 'done'?
You can’t beat a classic French manicure. It’s simple, elegant and always in fashion. Plus it can be adapted in so many ways, from deep wide smile-lines to very thin white tips; either way, it always looks fresh and clean. (Image: @nailfreakboutique)
