Emerald Marble Nails
Even the most anti-festive types will want to play with their nails this season. Here Salon System Nail Expert Jaz Moger shares how she created this gorgeously glam emerald marble look, complete with gold foil.
Step 1: File the nails to shape, push the cuticles back with and gently buff the nail plate with a white block.
Next, thoroughly wipe nails with GELLUX Nail + File Cleansing Spray and a lint-free pad. When the nails are dry, apply GELLUX Fast Bond and let dry for 30 seconds. Then apply one very thin layer of the GELLUX Builder Gel in Light Pink, curing for 60 seconds between each coat. Using a fine liner and GELLUX Purely White, paint some wiggly lines onto each nail. Do not cure.
Step 2: Using a slightly bigger nail art brush and some GELLUX Prep + Wipe, dab along the white line to make it ‘bleed’ a little. Once you’re happy with it, go ahead and cure.
Step 3: Mix GELLUX Rush Hour with a small amount of Clear Base & Top Coat, paint onto the nail randomly and cure.
Step 4: Next, paint over the nail with a thin coat of GELLUX Builder Gel in Cool White and smudge in some GELLUX Lucky Shamrock. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step 5: After curing, wipe over each nail plate with Salon System Acetone. Using a dotting tool and some nail glue, paint a line of glue all the way around the edge of the nail. Once the glue has gone clear, dab gold foil over the nail to create the glam foiled edge.
Step 6: Finish the design by doing two coats of GELLUX Super Shiny Top Coat and curing between each layer. Once cured, wipe over the nails with GELLUX Prep + Wipe, oil the cuticles and your client is ready to party!
