Bridal hair with a touch of romance
The Triple Pony Bun is a look that’s romantic, sensual and sophisticated. With just the right hint of volume, it’s a beautiful bridal style for brides with longer hair. Here we share the steps, created by Percy & Reed’s Paul Percival, for BaByliss PRO.What you will need

Step 1
Begin by backcombing the hair at the roots to add a little volume – do this just on the top rectangle of hair.
Step 2
Next, take the hair and pull into five sections – three equal sections at the back and two front side sections (the hair that falls before each ear.) If your client has a deep side parting you may prefer to have just one front-side section – it’s up to you.
Step 3
Clip the front-sides sections out of the way and pull each of the three back sections down into ponytails, securing with hairbands at the nape.
Step 4
Using the BaByliss PRO Perfect Curl, curl the hair in each ponytail, focusing on a small section at a time. Curl the front sections too, making sure to curl from ear height down.
NOTE: Before you curl, ensure you comb through the hair first and make sure the barrel of the Perfect Curl is always facing the head. The Perfect Curl should be set on medium heat, alternate curl.
Step 5
At the back of the head, spray the hair with hairspray and run your fingers through to add texture and body.
Step 6
Next, pull the two side back sections into the middle and pin in place. Manipulate the hair at the back of the head, pulling gently to add a little more volume.
Step 7
Next, roll up the lengths of the hair from underneath and pin in place at the nape – don’t be too neat – you want movement and a soft finish.
Step 8
With the front sections, twist them slightly and pull over the ears and around the bun (covering the hairbands.) Pin in place. Spray to finish and manipulate the hair at the roots as required.
